Most people look at a a school system when deciding to purchase a home. west warwicks dismal test scores certainly wouldn't entice people looking for a good public education for their children. i think we should hire teachers based on their record, not seniority and use a merit based pay system. i have had children in the west warick school system for 16 years . my children are 21, 15 and 8. over the years they have had some absolutely wonderful teachers, but also some who simply should not be teaching. improving our school system would be a wonderful way to improve our town.
